For me, the extraordinary beauty of the desert never grows old. Whether hot or cold, or somewhere in between, the Superstition Wilderness of Arizona always seems prepped and ready to offer up unique perspectives of light and color. On this trip out to the Three Sisters Range in the Superstitions I was hopeful for a little more cooperation from the sky. As the sun began to set the clouds quickly dissipated, but I stuck it out until the sun completely disappeared. In the last moments of the day the sun peeked through offering a pleasant touch of color and contrast. There are times when the gentle spray of light can leave a lasting impression; those are the moments when the subtle can be just as dramatic as the sky when it's on fire. Ref. 9914

I've always had a passion for artistic expression with my camera. As an industry specialist in the mid-90's I served as the Operations Manager/Technical Trainer in the Apple Computer technical support division in Tempe, AZ, just when PowerMacs were hitting the scene. This exposure served to influence my move from film to digital photography. The Apple QuickTake was my first digital camera. From there I moved to Olympus and finally settled on Canon.
