BEAUTIFUL PATTERNS IN NATURE by PHOTOGRAPHER RICK FURMANEK
Madera Canyon in the Santa Rita mountains of southern Arizona is a place you could easily drive by on I-19 and miss, but you would be the worse for it.
While the canyon holds a special place in the heart of avid birders, it is also a spot where you can have a seat, meditate and recalibrate the soul. It has a scenic creek that runs through it and the heavy snow from this winter is providing a lot of tiny cascades which in turn provides numerous photo opportunities.
This particular leaf was seemingly glued in place, almost like paper mache. Surrounded by colorful rocks, it spoke of peace and tranquility as the water slipped over it. It caused me to pause and appreciate the beauty in the moment. Ref. 1881

As an industry specialist in the mid-90's I served as the Operations Manager/Technical Trainer in the Apple Computer technical support division in Tempe, AZ, just when PowerMacs were hitting the scene.
