Winter nights in the Arizona desert can be dramatic as the warmth of the day suddenly gives way into a chill that goes to the bone. In the same dramatic fashion, sunset colors in the Sonoran often provide great surprises for the eyes to behold. It's humbling to think that these silhouetted chollas will be standing long after I am gone. Ref. 7978
