Artist's Description

THE EYES HAVE IT by PHOTOGRAPHER RICK FURMANEK

As a natural pruning, aspens, as they grow upwards, shed their lower branches leaving behind various shapes of what appears to be eyes. Once in a while I'll come across an aspen that is covered with eyes ... eyes that seem to follow you through the forest. I love Arizona's high country in the fall. Ref. 3521

I've always had a passion for artistic expression with my camera. As an industry specialist in the mid-90's I served as the Operations Manager/Technical Trainer in the Apple Computer technical support division in Tempe, AZ, just when PowerMacs were hitting the scene. This exposure served to influence my move from film to digital photography. The Apple QuickTake was my first digital camera. From there I moved to Olympus and finally settled on Canon. Self-taught in both photography and digital processing, I count myself fortunate to have had access to Adobe Photoshop almost daily for 20+ years. I hope to always remain a student of the craft.
