We were greeted the end of our first day of our thirteen-day trek across the western United Sates by an intense storm on the Arizona/Utah border near Page. The brooding clouds provided a gorgeous formation with the Vermilion Cliffs as their backdrop. The shafts of rain were constantly shifting with the wind while the lightning directly above tried to keep us at bay. I counted myself fortunate to have captured this image before having to dash to the car. Ref. 0329

I've always had a passion for artistic expression with my camera. As an industry specialist in the mid-90's I served as the Operations Manager/Technical Trainer in the Apple Computer technical support division in Tempe, AZ, just when PowerMacs were hitting the scene. This exposure served to influence my move from film to digital photography. The Apple QuickTake was my first digital camera. From there I moved to Olympus and finally settled on Canon.
