Artist's Description

ARIZONA FERNGULLY by PHOTOGRAPHER RICK FURMANEK

Arizona's FernGully - While exploring deep in the forest of the White Mountains several years ago we found this little 'oasis' of a sort. We call it our own FernGully. The temperature is some ten degrees cooler than the surrounding forest and there is always running water. The flourishing vegetation is so not what you would expect in Arizona. It's more like something you'd see on the Oregon coast or Olympic Peninsula. Having visited it numerous times we always look forward to taking a break in our journey just to enjoy the cool damp air. The spot is only an acre or so, but such a relief on a hot, sunny day. Ref. 4902

Along the journey I've been fortunate to have had my work recognized by organizations such as...
