I captured this early AM scene up near Greer, AZ. While many of the aspens lost their leaves from an earlier wind/rain/snow storm, there were still enough pockets of gold to be enjoyed. The play of shadow and light drew me to this area. It was just the right balance of golden leaves blanketing the forest floor and select aspens destined one more day to be set ablaze by the sun.
