Artist's Description

HEWITT CANYON by PHOTOGRAPHER RICK FURMANEK

Perhaps my favorite scenic road in all of Arizona. Hewitt Canyon Road takes you some twelve miles through some of the most beautiful wilderness the Superstition Mountains has to offer. As you climb 4,832 feet to Rogers Trough Trailhead you are privy to pristine views of both cactus and rock formations that can be breathtaking. If you are brave enough, you can take the switchbacks from Rogers Trough down the backside of the Superstitions which lands you just outside the town of Superior. Ref. 8139

Note in this image I have applied a slight Orton effect to enhance the magical feel of this special place.

Along the journey I've been fortunate to have had my work recognized by organizations such as...
