One unique aspect of the Arizona desert is the variety of shapes and sizes of the saguaro cacti. Through the years I thought I'd seen just about every configuration imaginable, that is until I came across this one. Surprises such as this motivates me to keep going back again and again. This was taken during the magic hour as a summer monsoonal thunderstorm hovered above. When it comes to landscape photography light and atmosphere are what makes it for me. Ref. 6458

I've always had a passion for artistic expression with my camera. As an industry specialist in the mid-90's I served as the Operations Manager/Technical Trainer in the Apple Computer technical support division in Tempe, AZ, just when PowerMacs were hitting the scene. This exposure served to influence my move from film to digital photography. The Apple QuickTake was my first digital camera. From there I moved to Olympus and finally settled on Canon.
