Artist's Description

SNOW MOON by PHOTOGRAPHER RICK FURMANEK

I hit the Peralta Trail area the night of the full Snow Moon. We climbed a particular area that has been a favorite of mine for the last fifteen years. Not having been up the road in a year I noticed the Razors have pretty much made it impossible to get up to where I wanted to be unless you have a rock crawler. Anyway, we tried to set up fairly high above the desert floor. The light on the Superstitions was spectacular. The Snow Moon of 2021 did not disappoint. Note that one of the shadows, when the original image is viewed at 100%, looks like the head of a buffalo. Pretty cool evening. Ref. R1349

Self-taught in both photography and digital processing, I count myself fortunate to have had access to Adobe Photoshop almost daily for 20+ years. I hope to always remain a student of the craft. Along the journey I've been fortunate to have had my work recognized by organizations such as...
