STEP INTO THE LIGHT by PHOTOGRAPHER RICK FURMANEK

This scene was taken in the White Mountains of Arizona. Autumn is my favorite time of the year as the cool crisp morning air can provide a respite of relief from the arid Arizona desert. When I'm on a fall photo shoot I am always on the lookout for a serene tree-lined country road or a path surrounded by a nice contrast of greens, golds and blues. Ref. 6867

I've always had a passion for artistic expression with my camera. As an industry specialist in the mid-90's I served as the Operations Manager/Technical Trainer in the Apple Computer technical support division in Tempe, AZ, just when PowerMacs were hitting the scene. This exposure served to influence my move from film to digital photography. The Apple QuickTake was my first digital camera. From there I moved to Olympus and finally settled on Canon. Self-taught in both photography and digital processing, I count myself fortunate to have had access to Adobe Photoshop almost daily for 20+ years. I hope to always remain a student of the craft.
