The Sonoran desert in Arizona can be full of surprises. Some springs will produce a bounty of wildflowers while other springs will scarcely produce much of anything. Some years when the summer heat hits, the dry and dusty will regularly yield to a refreshing monsoonal storm. Other summers seem to only provide an experience of searing heat. Exploring the Superstitions in this heat makes it very dangerous, thus we are at times forced to retrieve memories of cooler days. I loved how the lupine dappled the landscape everywhere you looked on this gorgeous spring day. Ref. 8596

I've always had a passion for artistic expression with my camera. As an industry specialist in the mid-90's I served as the Operations Manager/Technical Trainer in the Apple Computer technical support division in Tempe, AZ, just when PowerMacs were hitting the scene. This exposure served to influence my move from film to digital photography. The Apple QuickTake was my first digital camera. From there I moved to Olympus and finally settled on Canon.
