Because it happens so infrequently, I am easily exited when I happen upon the tiniest of color change in our Arizona desert. While exploring our riparian this past week, the bright golden leaves lighting up this tree, as the sun began its descent, caught my eye. The shadows cast over its surroundings made for a nice contrast of light and dark. I quickly returned to my car and exchanged my long lens for my landscape lens and made my way back to capture a few images. This one was my fav. Ref. R6347

I've always had a passion for artistic expression with my camera. As an industry specialist in the mid-90's I served as the Operations Manager/Technical Trainer in the Apple Computer technical support division in Tempe, AZ, just when PowerMacs were hitting the scene. This exposure served to influence my move from film to digital photography. The Apple QuickTake was my first digital camera. From there I moved to Olympus and finally settled on Canon.
