Artist's Description

TWO BIRDS OF A FEATHER by PHOTOGRAPHER RICK FURMANEK

Took a ride out to Arizona's Canyon Lake this evening and found an interesting pair of birds perched atop a dead tree across the parking lot. The gorgeous backlight was the result of the setting sun against the cliffs across the lake. Shot fifteen minutes before sundown but the sun had already dipped behind the mountain directly west of us. Anyway, the bird on the left is the Phainopepla aka Black Cardinal or Desert Cardinal. The bird on the right is my fav, a Vermilion Flycatcher. Was fortunate to catch them in such close proximity. Ref. R0341

Along the journey I've been fortunate to have had my work recognized by organizations such as...
